DuraLabel Pro Supplies
Specialty Supplies
DuraLabel is the innovation leader in sign making and labeling supplies.
What are specialty supplies?
Continuous vinyl is the most commonly used material for sign making applications. However, there are times when different materials are better suited to the job. The DuraLabel PRO has more types of supplies available than any comparable printed. Not matter what the job requires, it is likely the DuraLabel PRO can get the job done right.
For example:
Parking Lot Signs - Use Reflective Vinyl
Signs used in parking lots and for traffic control need to be highly visibly under low-light conditions. Reflective vinyl addresses this specialized need. They provide highly reflective surfaces that result in sign that can easily be read under low-light conditions.
Emergency Evacuation Signs - Phosphorescent Supply
What happens when the power goes out? Can your employees and visitors easily find the exits? Phosphorescent supplies make signs that glow-in-the-dark. They don't rely on batteries or need wiring that can fail. When the lights go out, the sign will glow. It's the 100% reliable way to ensure emergency information is available during power failures.
(NFPA 101 now requires phosphorescent signs and markings in exitways and stair wells.)
Dealing With Low Temperatures
How do you post signs and labels in locations that are permanently cold, such as in cold storage facilities? You could create the sign using a plastic backing material, and then use plastic ties or wire to attach the sign where needed. Another option is to use a vinyl that has an adhesive designed for low temperatures. With cold storage vinyl signs and labels can be applied directly to shelving, walls and containers.
Wire and Cable Identification
No matter where you work there is a tangle of wires running through the walls and under the floor. Years after they were installed, how do you know which wire goes where? Shrink tubes and self-laminating wire wraps provide a means to identify wires and cables. They provide a way to permanently and clearly mark both ends of a wire or cable.
What If There Is No Place To Attach A Label?
What do you do if you need to label something that is too small for a label to fit. Or it has a shape that has not flat surface suitable for a label? Examples of this would typically be valves, actuators, instruments, transmitters and small pipes or tubing. Information can be attached to these types of objects using tags.
There are two types of tags.
The DuraLabel PRO can print directly on tag stock material called DuraTag. This is a super tough material. You can punch a hole in it and attach it using a plastic tie... without using a grommet! It makes creating and using tags fast and easy.
Another option is to use valve tags and sign blanks. These are lat pieces of plastic. A normal adhesive label or sign is printed and attached to the plastic backing. It can then be attached to whatever object you wish using plastic or wire ties.
The advantage of the valve tag and sign blank is that they provide a rigid backing material. This means they can be oriented so they can be read from a distance, and they will stay in that position. The DuraTag material is flexible and it can easy be moved to a position from which it can not read.
